In this marble fragment of a statue, a foot emerges from a large, rectangular plinth. The foot is beautifully carved, with individual toes and a small gap between the big and first toe, as well as a slight curve to the inside of the foot. The piece has been broken off at the ankle, with some loss to the top of the heel of the foot. There are visible tool marks on the bottom of the piece.
Condition:The piece is a fragment, as described, with some loss to the heel of the foot. Otherwise in very good condition overall.
Dimensions: The foot is 4.25 inches (11.4 centimeters) long, the entire piece is 7 inches (17.8 centimeters) long and 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) high
