Thin oval pendant with slight curve, pierced at one end with single vertical line incised on the convex side.  Possibly a forehead pendant  as described in Payne.  See:  Payne, Joan C. "Catalogue of the PreDynastic Egyptian Collection in the Ashmolean Museum" (1993) Oxford, pg 217-8, fig.73.

Condition: Intact and in excellent condition.  Museum accession number 59.307 applied in black pigment near edge, on same face a sticker with the number 867 applied.  Museum quality custom mount.

Dimensions: Height:  6.5 cm (2 1/2 inches)

Provenance: Deaccessioned from The Heckscher Museum of Art, Long Island, NY., ex. Robert Rustafjaell collection, acquired prior to 1909.
