This small carnelian scarab is carved with suture and pronotum lines on the back and faintly incised lines adding texture to the wings, and pierced longitudinally for suspension.
Condition: Intact and in excellent condition, with minor mineral accretion in the incised lines.

Provenance: Private DC collection, acquired in the early 1920's and then by descent.
