Roman marble architectual fragment, carved in raised relief, with outsplayed acanthus leaves giving an overlapping effect. The individual leaves are long, ending in a point, with a deep vein up the middle. Six leaves are visible emanating from one side of the piece, bending naturally. Fragments of other leaves are visible on the other side, and the top of one leaf is visible at the bottom corner. The back of peice is flat and smooth.
Condition: Fragment as described in very good condition overall. Museum quality custom mount. A charming piece.
