In Roman architecture three major orders of capitals were used; Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. This fragment comes from an example of the most elaborate, the Corinthian order. Three stylized acanthus leaves are carved in high relief to decorate this architectural fragment.
Condition: Fragment as described, piece intact and in very good condition, custom mounted.
