The face carved with high cheekbones, prominent nose and eyebrows and painted with dark read pigment with black pupils and cosmetic lines around the eyes. Part of a headdress above the brow, the top piece of a tripartite wig, with no remaining pigment on the smoothed wood.
Condition: Some age appropriate wear, loss to the nose of piece, crack from the brow down the right side of the face past the nose, visible pegs on the front in the wig and on either side of the mouth, empty peg holes on the back and with some modern writing by previous owners. Otherwise intact with rich colored pigment remaining.
